Each rate in the table is a percentage of the cash acquisition price, the money actually paid for the business at closing, and not a percentage of Ecomma's margin on the deal. Closed deals OR total value, whichever comes first. Your rate locks to your tier at close and never drops back.
Worked example
A $780K sale price at Silver pays you $16,700.
The $780,000 is the price the business sells for, and your rate applies to all of it, not to Ecomma's margin on the deal. It splits at $250K: the first band pays your tier's higher rate, everything above pays the lower one. Add the bands and that is your commission, protected from day one.
